The Buch- und Kunstauktionshaus Zisska & Lacher GmbH & Co. KG is situated in the heart of Munich and auctions twice a year, on the one hand valuable books, manuscripts and autographs, maps, town views and decorative prints, on the other hand paintings, sculptures and other excellent items of fine art.
All consignors can expect a precise and scientifically well-founded handling as well as an assessment in line with the market of the valuable and rare pieces. Numerous experts qualified in art and book history are at our disposal within and outside our house to fulfill this task. There is furthermore an extensive reference library and our decade-long experience regarding the compilation and thus preservation of exhibits of our cultural heritage.
Whoever buys at our auction can rely on the professional description of each lot. Our clientele are mainly domestic and foreign libraries and museums as well as private collectors, but also the trade and galleries.
The auctions take always place beginning May and beginning November in the premises of our house in Munich’s city centre at Ungerer Anger 15 and lasts mostly three to four days. One or two richly illustrated catalogues are published for the book or art department about three to four weeks before each auction. All lots can be viewed during the last seven days in our premises.
