Prächtige Ausgabe mit Illustrationen von Dmitri Nikolajewitsch Kardowski (1866-1943) sowie Faksimile des Theaterzettels der Aufführung im Bolschoi-Theater 1831. – Die Komödie "Gore ot uma" (Verstand schafft Leiden), eine 1822 von Alexander Sergejewitsch Gribojedow (1795-1829) verfaßte Satire auf die russische Aristokratie, war zunächst von der Zensur verboten und erschien zuerst 1833 im Druck. – Minimal fleckig.

Splendid edition with illustrations by Dimitri Nikolayevich Kardovsky and facsimile of the playbill of the performance at the Bolshoi Theatre in 1831 – The comedy "Gore ot uma", a satire on the Russian aristocracy written by Griboyedov in 1822, was initially banned by the censors and only appeared in print in 1833. – Minimally stained. – Original calf with rich gilt-tooling (spine bleached, both covers with scratches, slightly soiled).
