If you have property you wish to sell, our team of specialists can advise you and explain the consignment process. We’ll be pleased to accept consignment offers at any time, be it important single items, groups of items or whole libraries. Depending on your location, you may wish to arrange a consultation with one of our specialists at the auction house. Preliminary lists of items would be appreciated before you consign. When emailing descriptions or lists that include photo material, please send this in JPEG format.
In the case of larger consignments, we’ll be pleased to examine property at your home or business address and make arrangements for collection or shipping from door to door. The minimum consignment value is € 500-1,000 (total of estimates on all lots consigned). Consignors are charged a commission on the final bid, or hammer price, of lots that sell. The commission rate is 20% on hammer prices up to and including € 2500. This commission rate is reduced to 15% on prices of € 2501 and upwards. No charge is made for catalogue illustrations arranged by us or for catalogue descriptions. There is no charge for unsold items.
All unsolicited items, objects unsuitable for auction and unsold items will be shipped at the owner’s expense.
Final estimates can only be given after collation and examination of each individual item including its condition.
After cataloguing of your consignment has been completed (this includes a thorough description, bibliographic reference notes, provenance etc.), you’ll receive a copy of our Versteigerungsauftrag (Auction Sales Contract) listing all lots catalogued, together with their estimated prices.
All consignors automatically receive a free copy of our auction catalogue approximately four weeks before the auction.
